Tina enjoys making art that is alive with movement, colour, and expression. Having enjoyed drawing throughout her life, retirement found her yearning for more colour and freedom. She decided to exchange her pens for paintbrushes, and began to paint landscapes en plein air.
An exhibit about a 1950’s Japanese art movement further inspired her to be more playful and spontaneous with her art. Upon exploring different styles and techniques with excellent instructors, Tina has been painting intuitively ever since, reflecting on memories and inventive ideas as she creates imaginative abstracts and impressions.
“I marvel at the wonders I spy through a window, up a tree, at the side of the road, beyond the shore … fleeting glimpses, tracks in the snow, mist floating, milky skies, seasons changing, and the stillness of being. Nature that lives and breathes. My paintings, emergent and evanescent, reflect my love for this vast and beautiful world. I welcome you to share them with me."
