Throughout each calendar year, FASM offers workshops and classes with pre-eminent artists that would appeal to experienced, emerging, and beginning artists alike. While non-members are welcome to register, FASM members receive a fee discount on all workshops.

Workshop Description:

Ever struggle with the correct perspective when painting buildings or other objects in the landscape? Master impressionist artist John David Anderson will take us step by step though a landscape painting with emphasis on atmospheric perspective and other important techniques that will improve your paintings.

Workshop Description:

Palette knife is one of the most rewarding techniques that produces loose, eye-catching impressionistic paintings with a lot of texture. This one-day workshop will help you to become more comfortable using palette knife. It will help you to become more expressive and carefree with your painting which will bring freshness to your work. It will inspire you to explore the textures of palette-knife work as you add another dimension to your oil painting repertoire. Participants will receive step by step guidance with a lot of individual attention. The workshop is open to all levels although artists with at least some basic painting experience will benefit the most.

Art Connect 2024
You can meet to create with FASM members and non-members each Thursday from 1pm to 4pm at 1617 Milburough Line in Campbellville. The spacious country setting is ideal for painting en plein air when the weather is favourable, or painting indoors as needed. Classes in 2022: Take Part Art
In the last quarter of 2022, some recently received grant money allowed us to run weekly gatherings in the Robert Bateman Studio in the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton. Each Wednesday, members were invited to drop in from 1 to 4 pm to join in on a class, run by a fellow FASM member, or simply work on their own projects:
