DIANA TUSZYNSKI
Diana is a visual artist who enjoys working with acrylics, oil/cold wax, encaustic (hot wax), mixed media, alcohol ink and fabric paint. Her creative spirit loves to explore new ways of expressing her view of the world and conveying her message of finding peace and joy in the beauty of nature.
The imperfect, confined and threatened natural world figure into some of her paintings, where she makes note of the destructive forces both man-made and natural which may be hidden to the casual viewer. Living in the rural hamlet of Kilbride (Burlington), Diana’s artistic works have been inspired by the flora and fauna that surrounds her with a particular interest in birds.
Diana has been painting and showing her work for 20 yrs and is a founding member of the Escarpment Artists group. She credits the Art Gallery of Burlington for rejuvenating her love of painting and FASM for bringing her out of the artist’s closet by offering a fledgling artist the opportunity to show her work and grow her confidence.
Diana has displayed her paintings in group shows at the Holcim gallery in Milton, Sunnybrook Hospital, Paris Bohemian Gallery, Caledon Town Hall, Milton Town Hall and commercial spaces. Diana’s work has been selected for Juried Shows with FASM, the Red Door Gallery in Georgetown and Joshua Creek in Oakville.
Diana’s studio is open by appointment.
